Our company was established in 1989 and renamed in 1992 when John Parks (1948-2010), Publisher of the Legal Advertiser, now the Detroit Legal News, acquired a three-year old title company and renamed it Parks Title. John’s nephew Pat Parks (1967-2010) partnered with Julie McKee to manage the dramatic growth of this customer-oriented company. The continued growth, commitment to quality work and excellent service will serve as Pat and John’s enduring legacy.

Julie McKee, President
Julie has been with Parks Title since its inception, becoming partner in 1994 and named President in 2010. As President, Julie oversees Parks Title’s five offices in Michigan and Illinois. Julie has more than 20 years experience in title and real estate related industries. Of note is Julie’s significant experience in resolving challenging title issues related to distressed properties. She is an active member of the Michigan Land Title Association, Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association, American Land Title Association and the Royal Oak and Rochester Hills Chambers of Commerce.

Mark Demmer, Director of Finance
Mark joined Parks Title in 2012 as Director of Finance. Mark is a CPA who comes to Parks Title after having served as Director of Finance for Cambridge Consulting Group and in Internal Audit Services with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. Mark has a deep appreciation for the family-owned business model and is eager to help direct the growth and development of Parks Title. Mark has oversight of Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and IT.

Loraine Jones, Director of Escrow Operations
Loraine has more than thirty years of management experience in both banking and title industries. Her professional career began at Standard Federal Bank, where she ultimately served as First Vice President of Retail Banking. Loraine has extensive lending experience including origination, processing, closing, disbursing, training and document creating. Currently, Loraine is responsible for the daily operations of the escrow departments in all five Parks Title offices and acts as Manager the Royal Oak and Grand Rapids offices. Her duties include customer service, monitoring processing, closings, disbursements as well as maintaining a positive, motivated staff.

Jerry LePage, Exam Team Leader
Jerry was named Exam Team Leader after having been an examiner at Parks Title for 12 years. Jerry is experienced in writing up search, sale, foreclosure, deed in lieu and REO commitments and guarantees according to customer and underwriter guidelines. He specializes in identifying and resolving problems related to title and legal descriptions that may otherwise cloud title or cause transactions to be abandoned. Jerry is an effective communicator between Parks Title staff and clients assuring accurate and timely delivery of ordered title products.

Katie Parks, Director of Marketing Communications
Katie joined Parks Title as Director of Marketing Communications in 2012. Following the 2010 death of her husband and then company President, Pat Parks, Katie worked closely with Pat’s long-time colleague and now President, Julie McKee to ensure the continued practice and consistent communication of the company’s core values. Prior to joining Parks Title, Katie served as Director of Development for Hospice of Michigan for ten years; she also worked as a marketing and development consultant and active volunteer for a number of non-profit organizations for more than 20 years.

Kevin McBride, Director of Business Development
Kevin McBride joined Parks Title as Director of Business Development in 2012. Kevin focuses on new business development and corporate sales activities throughout Michigan and Illinois. Prior to joining Parks Title, Kevin served as Area Sales Manager at a national mortgage insurance company. He has over 20 years experience in the mortgage finance industry. Kevin earned his Bachelors of Administration and Master of Science in Finance degrees from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan.
